The Korean formula combines glycerin and propanediol with squalane, triglyceride, fatty alcohol, fatty acid, dimethicone, plant oils, phytosterols and NeoPharm’s PC-9S pseudoceramide. That is a coherent moisture-and-occlusion system. What remains uncertain is comparative superiority.

PC-9S appears as myristoyl/palmitoyl oxostearamide/arachamide MEA. It is a pseudoceramide, not Ceramide NP, AP or EOP. The formula also lists phytosterols and lamellar emulsifiers. Physical studies show that related MLE mixtures can form layered structures resembling stratum-corneum lipid organization, but structural resemblance is not a clinical outcome.

PC-9S는 전성분에서 ‘미리스토일/팔미토일옥소스테아라마이드/아라카마이드엠이에이’로 표시된다. 세라마이드 NP·AP·EOP가 아니라 유사세라마이드다. 피토스테롤과 라멜라 유화 성분도 함께 들어 있다. 관련 MLE 혼합물이 각질층 지질과 닮은 층상 구조를 만든다는 물성 연구는 있지만, 구조가 닮았다는 사실과 실제 피부 개선 효과는 같은 말이 아니다.

The 120-hour panel names the Korea Institute of Dermatological Sciences, 23 adults and a five-day test window. A separate scaling/roughness panel names P&K and 21 adult women. By contrast, the public 2.5× barrier, 478%/275% hydration and 69% itch graphs do not show enough comparable information to audit the effect size: comparator, absolute change, dispersion, confidence interval, device and adverse events remain unclear.

There is also a regional ingredient-list discrepancy: the Korean official list includes methyl caprooyl tyrosinate (Defensamide), while the current Olive Young US listing omits it and orders ingredients differently.
